Out Nebraska renueva imagen y aumenta alcance durante el Mes del Orgullo

La organización sin fines de lucro Out Nebraska celebra el Mes del Orgullo con una serie de desfiles, marchas y otros eventos por todo el estado en junio. El grupo también aprovecha la ocasión para renovar su imagen y conectar con las comunidades. Owen Rush, gerente de comunicaciones de Out Nebraska, afirma que el Mes del Orgullo es una buena oportunidad no solo para celebrar las causas LGBTQ+, sino también para conectar a la comunidad con recursos útiles.

"Cuando asistimos a los eventos del Orgullo, sin duda conectamos a la gente con recursos. Trabajamos en un par de revistas sobre temas como cómo cambiar el nombre, información sobre pronombres, sobre la comunidad LGBTQ+ y recursos en Nebraska para que la gente sepa que puede hacer y como hacerse oír," expresó Rush.

Out Nebraska también ayuda a educar a las personas LGBTQ+ sobre atención médica y necesidades legales y enumera miembros solidarios de la comunidad empresarial.

Out Nebraska también aprovecha el Mes del Orgullo para renovar su imagen. Rush argumenta que el grupo enfatiza la resiliencia, especialmente con el emblema de su bandera.

"Nuestro nuevo logotipo es muy audaz y los colores también son impactantes. La "E" parece una bandera ondeante para indicarnos que estamos aquí, que somos más fuertes que nunca y que no nos iremos a ninguna parte, y que hay gente común, alimentada con maíz, que son queer en Nebraska," enfatizó el entrevistado.

Rush dice que Out Nebraska también alienta a las personas a conectarse con legisladores locales, estatales y nacionales para defender cuestiones LGBTQ+.
